Teaching and learning continue to be some of Dr. Z's primary interests.  With over 20 years of experience teaching individual music lessons, coaching ensembles, and teaching university courses at both Utah State University and the University of Texas at Austin, she has developed a student-centered philosophy that encourages individual growth and self-discovery.

Dr. Z maintains a private studio of saxophone and woodwind students, offers coaching for individuals as well as small and large ensembles, and continues  to play saxophone and winds for a variety of local and regional ensembles.
